MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation in NC15

This is my current foundation, which replaced my Revlon Colourstay, the foundation I've used since  I began wearing make-up, which is unbelievable! I purchased the lightest shade at the mac counter, I'm impressed by Mac's colour range, though they aren't as all-encompassing as Illamasqua's skin range. The shade I have is NC15, which has yellow undertones. I think I would personally be more suited to an NW foundation, and as I think this product is good enough to buy again, I'll put up a review of both the NW and NC to compare at some point!

Remember when you're at a makeup counter, you know yourself and your skin better than anyone, so if you think something doesn't look right, make sure you tell them! Another tip, the lights that are used at make-up counters will illuminate your face brilliantly, which will make your foundation look gorgeous of course, but always test the product away from light before you buy to check the colour match!

MAC Glitter and Ice: Metallic Pigments

I was planning on posting this during Christmas as Glitter and Ice is MAC's Holiday collection but I haven't gotten around to it until now! Not one to normally venture outside Mac's permanent range, so this has been a new and delightful experience for me!

I got these as gifts, and I couldn't be more happy with them! The pigments, though it doesn't seem in the swatches, are extremely metallic. For the swatches I only applied one coat of each, but with one more, each build up to the beautiful metallic pigment in the container.

Viva Glam Gaga is back!

FINALLY THIS DAY HAS COME! MAC has brought back the first Viva Glam Gaga lipstick! For those of you who didn't purchase it before it sold out, it is a cool toned light pink colour. It's absolutely amazing!

But of course, such a great thing can't come with a catch (darn it). To purchase Viva Glam Gaga, you must buy it in a set, the set including the second installment of the Gaga lipsticks. I didn't really like Viva Glam Gaga II, it's a warm beige colour with an amplified finish. Generally I love MAC's amplified finishes but the consistency of that lipstick really didn't work for me. All together, the set totals to around $65 AUD. It also comes with a circular transparent make-up bag in red. Awesome hey?

I'll do some swatches for anyone who's interested. Just thought I'd update with some good news, laters!

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural

Originally I picked up the colour 'Light', I guess just out of habit considering I'm so pale I've always been the lightest colour in any foundation range. But surprisingly, I am a medium! Yeah I don't understand it either, I guess it's better then the confusing colour codes MAC have going on.

I really love the packaging, and the dome shape the powder it comes in.  I didn't expect it to be very high coverage because it's a mineral product, and the powder is baked not pressed. But it really surpised me, the coverage is actually really good. It's so light and gives a natural look and overall glow. Also, I think this would be a good alternative for those who have dry skin, as the powder doesn't cake on like regular pressed foundation. If you're looking to buy this, definitely ask for some assistance with colour selecting!
